Ethernet cable lug snapped in house move

Hi. Yesterday I had a house move install. The little lug that holds the ethernet cable in the V6 box has been snapped off and the cable won't stay connected. Can you please send me a new cable. It is a Virgin Media CAT6 UTP. i have some 5e cables but they don't seem to work.

Marty

Plan B: Turn the cable round so the lug-less end connects to the hub, where (hopefully) it's not under strain that will disconnect it.

Plan C: Contact Amazon, and buy a replacement yourself.  Not expensive, and you'll have it a whole lot quicker than VM will manage..

Plan D use a matchstick ti hold it in.

The installer snapped it so VM can replace it.

Fair enough, and a reasonable point of principle, but that's an important little detail we weren't party to.

Still be quicker to buy it off Amazon....

Re: Ethernet cable lug snapped in house move

I agree, for a couple of quid id rather just order one on amazon and have it the next day.  Or connect the V6 via wifi
