Equipment Install Cancelled

I managed to get through to someone who has scheduled a relay of our cables tomorrow as they were laid in my neighbours drive, however I have just received a call stating that because construction has not been complete in time, that they have cancelled my "go-live" date which was supposed to be 14th. The appointment tomorrow is just to relay off my neighbours drive so the equipment can still be installed on Saturday.

I have called and used the online live chat but I haven't managed to get hold of anyone that can help me solve my problem, any suggestions ?

That cancellation message would tend to hint that they have cancelled your appointment for tomorrow to rerun the cable! As you technically don’t have to be in for external works like this, they don’t normally notIfy customers of when this work will be done or it it gets rescheduled, as long as they are sure that it will be done before the go-live date.

What I suspect may have happened here is that, your complaint about the cable route has triggered a belief in their system that the cabling hasn’t been done at all. They were coming out tomorrow, but now are not and aren’t sure if it will be done before 14th so have cancelled that appointment as well. VM’s procedures for installations can sometimes go spectacularly wrong, so there is a chance that this is just some oddball glitch, but it does sound a bit ominous.
