Engineer would / could not complete cable replacement

Order Job No 8617264

Cable from road to house damaged by builders, i agreed to pay for replacement ! its been underground for 20 years.

Engineer called as specified correct day / time but came to "replace router"  although "covid txt" said "coming to connect" said he could not replace cable, would be another type of technician?

Called Customer services, spent an hour on hold listening to music no response, so hung up.

Checking back on line Job above had been deleted from my account.

Please come and replace this cable that I have agreed to pay for

If you have a complete loss of service they'll repair or replace the cable free of charge, and if the cable wasn't in suitable ducting also provide suitable ducting. 

Ring back at 8am and your more likely to get in touch with a human.

Well eventually the engineer who visited did txt me to let me know job for cable team was now scheduled for a couple of weeks time. Also its on my account.

I haven't lost all my services, i'm online now, but losing some tv channels when it rains with cable just laying across the garden !

Fingers crossed the right team turn up with correct cable.
