Engineer did not show up to install broadband and phone

So as a new customer, not a great start or first impression..
The engineer did not show up for installation and I did not receive any notice for this. Which is quite annoying as I had to take a day off work to ensure I was available for the installation.
After speaking to customer services over 8 times the earliest appointment they can offer is in 2 weeks time which is a problem as my current provider has been disconnected and I am unable to work from home without internet and a phone.
Any help on getting this resolved ASAP will be much appreciated.
