Engineer booking not showing

I had to ring up virgin media to book an engineer visit to install a wall cable. 

they booked the engineer visit for this Saturday and informed me I would be sent a text and can log in to the virgin media app to see the appointment. 

at work I didn’t have the time to check so got home to do so. I’ve got no text from them and no confirmation of booking in the app. 

Worried it has not been booked. I urgently need an engineer as I’ve no internet.

Sounds like the common phone response of agreeing to anything just to get rid of the call. 

What do you mean by a wall cable - inside or outside? Why have you lost broadband service?
