Driveway Installation Quality Question

Hi,

I've just had the first part of the install done. Some guys have some along cut up the drive. 

They have installed a box at the end of the drive, ready for the next step.

The finish is a right mess not at all level massive bump.

Unfortunately my wife saw them leave.

She says other virgin media guys will be back in 3 days and take that all up. Its only temporary.
they will fix it then.

Doesnt sound right to be I expect the virgin media guys to be back in 3 days and install from the garden in the house.

Does anyone know if this is the case ?

I was told they are paid per job not per hour so they spend as little time on each job as possible. 

They installed under my hedge and made a complete mess of it, they said they'd be back which I didn't believe and did it myself for a far better solution. They never came back (no surprise there). 

If you complain they will come back eventually, but the best job is the job that you do yourself.

Thanks for the answer its quite a big area. So Im not sure I can do it myself. 

Especially once it has dried which it hasnt at the moment.

The process is to reinstate a temporary surface and then a team will come along and do a proper job which will then be inspected by local council.

That applies to the public footpath, but not to the private drive. 

Do not sign off on the installation until you are satisfied with the outside work.
