we used to be a Virgin customer before moving to an area that wasn't cabled. Cable has just been installed all around where we are now, but although all the neighbouring addresses that are houses can sign up, our block of 9 flats still says that no services are available.
Does it take longer for flats to get provisioned or are they likely to just skip us altogether?
Any ideas from anyone that's been in a similar situation?
Enough people need to request it or the flat owner/maintenance company may have their own preferred provider for the building.

can somebody from VM contact me. We are 12 flats and VM cable is next to the building, but when I check my flat it says not available. When I contact the building manager he says he needs somebody from VM to contact him to initiate getting it set up. But how do I get somebody from VM to contact him to get the ball rolling! It's all very catch-22. Not helped by VM website that makes it impossible for me to contact VM!
Flats are an awkward subject, not just because of permissions.
Virgin will not install externally any higher than the First Floor as installers are not heights trained & have no equipment to access above first floor. Also some councils ban any visible external wiring from communal buildings.
In the above cases a service can only be provided if the building can be wired internally via a central equipment cupboard, & any building owner would be expected to contribute to the costs.

We're on the ground floor so height isn't a problem, but we just need to get someone from Virgin to contact the property owner to arrange access to install the cable. It's just trying to work out how to put the two of them in touch as there's no way to contact Virgin to give them the info.
