Do I have a problem with readings.

I have had the new hub 5 a few days now and at the start all was working ok, but now I am getting upload speed drops sometimes as low as 3Mbps and the download can drop to 170Mbps which is not too bad but was allway above 200Mbps. Run the virgin test and it came back as possile noise in the cable. Have checked all connections. Hub in modem mode but is the same in router mode.

Any help would be gratefully received as I have never had any problems before.

Re: Do I have a problem with readings.

Upstream power levels quite high and QAM on all four channels 32, when they should be 64:

Re: Do I have a problem with readings.

Also too many Post RS errors which are uncorrectable.

Check with Area faults on  www.virginmedia.com/servicechecker or 0800 561 0061 If you have a VM landline 150 The phone goes down to post code level.

If no faults found:

Call Customer Services on 0345 454 1111/150 if you have a VM landline or wait a day or two for a VM staff member to get to your post.

Re: Do I have a problem with readings.

Good morning @SNK

Welcome back to the forums and thank you for taking the time to post.

I am sorry to hear that you are having some issues with your services.

I have managed to locate your account using your forums information, I can see that you already have an engineer booked for this, Is that correct?

Kind regards,

Re: Do I have a problem with readings.

Hi Zak_M
Thanks for picking this up. Yes I have an engineer book for Thursday 30th hopefully he will be able to correct the problem as now the upload modulation can sometimes drop down to QAM16. Have tried all the usual fixes even a pinhole reset with no success.
