Disconnected in error - when will I be reconnected?

I had arranged for disconnection on 10th May. The virgin assistant has mistakenly disconnected my services on 01 May. I am paying for a service I do not have. How long will it take to restore my services? I am very frustrated as you can imagine. Customer services said they submitted a reconnection form yet it may take up to 48 hours????? 48 hours???? How is that even possible? If anyone can help getting me back online it would be appreciated as I have to work from home tomorrow.
