Different wall socket

Hello,

I've just received my broadband hub, quick setup, however the wall sockets in my new flat are different and I've been looking everywhere to contact someone or book a technician.

Also due to me moving I lost my notebook with the security question therefore I wasn't able to contact via customer service.

What do I do?

Re: Different wall socket

ok - the cable coming out of the wall box is what you need - follow that and find the other end and fit that into the hub - if the cable is damaged or too long remove it from the bottom of the wall box and fit the new one - the new one is push fit - the old one may be that or a screw fit - they both fit the connection on the wall box

you may have to activate the hub - 0800 953 9500

all being well that should do it

Re: Different wall socket

It's working, wasn't sure whether I was supposed to connect it to the existing cable because on the box it says Telewest so I thought that was a different provider.

Anyways, thank you for your hel -tony-

Telewest merged with NTL, which rebranded as Virgin Media. Its all the same now.

VM BB TV Landline. Vonage 2nd line. Freeview/Freesat HD, ASDA/Tesco PAYG Mobile. Customer since 1993

I'm a Very Insightful Person, I'm here to share knowledge, I don't work for Virgin Media. Learn more
