Damaged Cable - Engineer Needed

Hi, We have had grder who has managed to chop through our Virgin cabling.  Previous posts advise this has been fixed for others, for free, however Virgin are now advising this carries a £99 charge and nothing can be done for 4 days.

Can anyone confirm if tgis should be free and can anyone comment on their pqst experiences with situations like this.

I have put a post into local Facebook groups and am hoping an engineer can come and fix, outside of the normal process, for a smaller fee hopefully.

Thanks in advance,

Re: Damaged Cable - Engineer Needed

it should be free - wait here for staff to pick up the thread they should be able to book a tech - as to 4 day for a tech they will advise but it may be that

have flagged the thread - let them sort it and if the £99 fee has wrongly? been applied they hopefully can resolve that too

Re: Damaged Cable - Engineer Needed

Good afternoon @kelvin156

Welcome back to the forums and thank you for taking the time to post.

I am sorry to hear that you have had some issues with your cables.

Are you able to let me know, have you already booked the engineer to attend?

Kind regards,

Zak_M

Hi kelvin156,

Thanks for confirming that! Please let us know how the appointment goes, and if a charge is applied to your account. We would be happy to look into this further for you.

Kind regards,

Laurie
