I do not have virgin media however they have damaged my brand new drive by installing cable when I was out. Who do I report this to. I have been in contact a number of times with virgin media and I'm just being passed round to different teams.
Looking at these forums it appears that shoddy workmanship is just the norm for them.
Can anyone advise please?

Hi @GarethB thanks for your post here in the Community, although we're sorry to hear of the concerns you've raised here.
Can you confirm if this was done as part of an install, or are you not an existing customer with us?
Many thanks

Hi this was done as part of “project Lightning” an installation project.
im not a Virgin media customer.
someone from VM has visited and has passed it on to the damages team apparently.
the land is part of our property and borders a public footpath.
Neither myself or the previous owners have ever given permission or signed a wayleave for this to be done, so I’m hopeful that this can be resolved quickly.

Thanks for letting us know @GarethB I'm sure the team will do all they can to ensure this matter is resolved.
Please do keep us updated with how you get on with this, if you need any further help we'll be happy to assist.

I’m very much hoping that someone does come back to me and rectify the situation.. it would be a shame to have to dig up all the ducting as I’m sure this will cut off thousands of your customers.

I'm sure they will after investigating this, when did the team visit and advise this has been passed to the damages team?
They will come up with a solution to fix your issue while ensuring the impact to others is as little as possible.

@GarethB
I can advise you from long experience that VM will take a very long time to deal with this through their broken system. The forum staff have no authority other than to send emails to other departments who may ignore them. You will have seen from the other cases how long this can take.
The subcontractor who may eventually be sent to rectify this will do the cheapest possible repair to your pipework.
If you want a proper repair you need your solicitor to write to VM's registered company address, holding them liable for the damage and costs, and stating that your are engaging a professional plumber to carry out the repair at their cost. You will of course not be responsible for any consequent damage to their cable, which should not be on your property and must be removed.

Don’t worry, I shall be requesting a copy of the wayleave or easement form for this ductwork to be on my property, VM will have 28 days to furnish me with this. After this I will be digging it up disposing of it repairing my drain.
This is a main communication duct supplying many homes.

Please keep us updated on this, as it may help other people who have suffered from VM's installations.
