Connection problems

I was sent a new router 3 months back and it was not installed , I am now having connection problems is that the reason ? Should the new one be installed ?

Apologies for any problems you've had with the service too. I wasn't able to check on things using your forum details alone on this occasion but I hope things have been resolved for you now?
