Connected but no internet!

Hi guys, recently got the quick start up and i havent had it connect to the internet once, waited 7 days for a guy to come look at it yesterday. Still no resolve, the technician told me they will be changing the cable, it will happen within 24 hrs. Its been 24 hours now and starting to think the technician wanted an early weekend. Any tips?
