Hi Folks,

Can I connect my tv to the superhub 3 and use it for freeview  tv channels?

I'm sure I did this at my last address but can't recall setup

Thanks

Possibly, is it a ‘smart’ TV (how much do I hate that term?).

If it is then not ‘Freeview’ as such but catch up TV on the BBC iPlayer and the ITV Hub etc.

If it's a smart TV, then probably yes.  All the hub will be doing is providing internet access, so the TV would then be relying on for example the freeview Play TV app running on the set, or if the set has a browser then you can choose progrms from the guide on the Freeview guide on their web site, subect to the various requirements of each channel.  If you've got a Firestick, Chromecast or other streaming device there may be other routes as well.

But obviously connecting TV to hub won't be the same experience as connecting to an aerial, in that TV channel controls don't work, you're doing that through the smart TV interface or app.

If it's an older non-smart or early smart TV things may not be so easy, and you'd then need to consider options via streaming devices.
