Conduit for cable wire

Hi, I am looking at getting a resin driveway installed. My current underground cable does not run through a conduit and is the old brown wire. I currently have block paving in place. Would it be possible to have my cable fitted with a conduit prior to the resin driveway being installed?

Colin.

Hi Bigjaw,

Welcome to the Community and thank you for posting.

We would be happy to reach out to our team and check the possibility of a rebury.

To confirm, is the cable currently above the ground?

I will just need to take some further details so I will pop you over a private message now. This will be available via the red bar at the top of this page.

Speak soon,

Have your driveway builders bury some duct between the two locations (e.g. https://www.comtecdirect.co.uk/duct-56-pvc-green-l-3mtr-dia-53-9mm.html and https://www.comtecdirect.co.uk/duct-bend-pvc-45-degrees-green-dia-53-9mm.html or an equivalent sourced from a local merchant). Leave the VM cable in place and just run it over the top of the ground for now. Once the duct is in place then book an engineer and say you want to move your external box and have them pull the cable through the duct.
