I've been keeping a close eye on VMs website recently and can see that VM is coming "very soon" to my postcode.

There are currently some engineers working in the street nearby laying new cable and the white street cabinets. Though I would be eager to know how soon I may be able to switch to VM.

Is there a timescale from work to connection?

VM are unlikely to share that sort of information in a public domain.  It is valuable competitive intelligence for your competing suppliers.

Seems like things may be going backward now. It's gone from "Coming Very Soon" to "Keep Me Posted".

Register your interest on the "Keep Me Posted" option.

When the time comes, I suggest place an online order so your details are correct and you have in writing exactly what is being offered.

I have done so, previously, it went from "We're chuffed to hear you want us" to "Coming very soon" to "keep me posted"

So I've gone from its not happening, to it's coming soon, to some limbo in between the two.

I had the same, VM started installing cable & cabinets in May’23, finished in August, finally got the email to say Virgin Media Services are available on my street on1/10/23, put in an order on 8/10/23 had the email to say installation on 20/10/23 but some work need outside first, ie cable pull to the house,

Didn’t hear anything after that until 2 days ago when VM emailed me and apologised to say my installation was delayed until 8/11/23 & they’re working hard to get me connected, the thing is a house opposite me had the cable pull so it looks like they’re getting VM before me, very strange but VM don’t tell you why it has been put back, it could get delayed again in Nov,

after reading other posts they do this a lot with no explanation, luckily I’ve not cancelled my current ISP

Also Hi Stephen93, yeah I can see how that is interesting, like i don't mind if its this year or early next, even just a scope of "when" with a rough-ish estimate is golden.
