Coaxial cable too big for wall

The coaxial cable for my broadband doesn't fit the wall socket - it's slightly too big. Where can I get an adapter? as one wasn't included in the box

That's a socket for an outdoor aerial, you cannot connect virgin to an outdoor aerial.

Your socket or virgin cable may be somewhere else

Oh, ok. Not sure where it could be then 😬

Start by looking outside for a grey or brown box with a “shotgun” type double cable coming in. The feeds from this will either go straight through the wall or to other entry points on the house. Look for where these enter & you may find what you are looking for.
