Coaxial Chaos! Is this the right plug???

Hello all, tried setting up my hub three today using the chord that was already in the wall. Socket looks like this:

The isolator is removable and looks like this

My red power cord also has a stuck out pin, so they don't connect. Nor does it connect the isolator that has a stuck out pin. I purchased these connectors with female ends

Am I even using the right wall socket? I have an NTL phone line next to it and a BT open reach 5G plug in kitchen that I also suspect is no good. Please advise asap!!!! I have a hub three.

To me, they look fine!

Is the hub pre-activated?

You may need to call the activation line!

Nope now activated and still flashing green. When trying to connect virgin cannot diagnose my problem, but says is the coaxial cable firmly attached which it really is!

Re: Coaxial Chaos! Is this the right plug???

Dang - it may need converting to a 'manned' install.

VM will offer a self-install if there has been a service at the property before - but that doesn't guarantee that it works now!

I think there should be a number to call in the self start kit!

Re: Coaxial Chaos! Is this the right plug???

Yeah the quick install assumes that the virgin media cabling coming into your house from the previous install is still intact. There are engineers working in the street cabinets all the time so chances are the coaxial cable been disconnected from the street cabinet at some point and needs reconnecting from that end.
