Change location of router and TV cable input.

Hi,

Would Virgin Media change the location of the cable that comes into the property?

There's another location in the room where I can see another cable coming in which I'm confident is an old TV/broadband line.

I wanted to query is Virgin Media would be able to activate that line and move the cabling with the splitter for TV and router to that old connection. Would anyone know roughly the costs involved if Virgin would do this?

Re: Change location of router and TV cable input.

You can always connect to another socket if installed by VM or one of its predecessor companies such as Telewest or NTL, it should work if it's still live. However, what sometimes happens is that the cable's been disconnected and VM's unlikely to send a tech round for what is a non-essential job in the current crisis.
