Can’t connect to internet (quick start)

Can someone please help me figure out what the problem is here. Got my hub 3 router yesterday, followed instructions to set it up and everything seemed fine but it just won’t connect to the internet. The base light is flashing green and the WiFi light is green. Followed the advice from virgin online which is just to ensure all cables are in tightly and try rebooting. Done all of that repeatedly and it’s still the same. 

I’ve been on the phone to virgin on hold all day and just keep getting cut off after about an hour. Managed to actually speak to someone once this afternoon and they said it just needed to be activated, so he did that and told me to wait an hour then reboot and assured me it would definitely work then. It hasn’t, still having the same problem. Been trying since then to call back but keep getting disconnected.

If activation wasn’t the issue, what else could be causing this?

Try calling the activation number directly
