Can i cancel before my installation

Waiting for my 2nd installation and get a phone call today to say they still need to do ground works for the cables from the cabinet to house. Same excuse as last time. I told them I didn't want another installation date and to cancel but she ignored me and booked another date at the end of the month. How do I cancel the account? I don't want VM to install our broadband now.

Yes - contract does not start until installation and still 14 day cooling off cancellation period. Be sure to make it clear you are cancelling and if possible record the call. Expect attempts to talk you out of cancellation so be sure beforehand what you have decided to do.

Do nothing - dont cancel. Just sign up to another ISP and use that. When VM eventually get their act together and install it - you will have 14 days to test it out and cancel it at no cost - with the knowledge that you have a working VM connection if you want to re-join in the future
