Cable/socket incompatible

Hello

Apologies for what may be a very straightforward (and often asked) question.

Our VM self install kit has arrived but the broadband cable from the router seems to be incompatible with the VM coax socket in the wall. Pics attached.

We've an engineer coming on Tues but just thought I'd check if there's an obvious quick fix which may get us online sooner.

Thanks very much.

You will need one of these adapters to connect the Quickstart cable.  Other suppliers are available as well.  It's a very easy thing to do.  Screw the adapter into the cable in the wall, and just push the Quickstart cable onto the adapter.

What has happened is that in the white box (frame shown attached to wall) was an isolator and this has been removed. The isolator would have the correct F socket for the cable from your hub. New cables supplied to you have an in-line isolator so that’s ok.
