Cable cut in garden

Hi

My neighbour accidentally cut my cable into my house. Fortunately I had a splitter installed which enters the 1st floor of my house. So I still have Internet/Tv. The only issue is I still need it to go downstairs as I have some server boxes connected via ethernet.  Is there a charge for this to be fixed by Virgin? I could certainly do the work myself as I believe you can buy 3 metres of cable from amazon/eBay.

Re: Cable cut in garden

It's best to just call them. If it's not urgent you could text them as well if you can't get through.

Re: Cable cut in garden

Thanks for the reply.

I did call them and they said it would cost £99.00 for sending an engineer out to fix the issue so I told her not to bother.

I'll just order the parts from amazon/ebay and fix myself.

Thanks again.

Re: Cable cut in garden

Strange the normally fix no charge. I'd try again in the morning. Ring at 8 o'clock for a better chance.

Re: Cable cut in garden

Or report it as a fault as its the engineer that states what kind of work they did and one part of the system doesn't work so technically its a fault.
