Cable but no Connector on wall

Hi all,

have just ordered the home set up quick package, I have the co ax in the box on the wall but the isolator is missing.

is there a way to get an isolator from DIY store, and fit an adaptor to take the red end of the VM isolator cable without a manned install as i believe can be a problem at moment with covid..

Thanks

Re: Cable but no Connector on wall

Quick start kit comes with isolator so you don't need one.

You will most likely need one of these to connect if the wall box isolator is missing, as the two parts would be female to female, so need this.

maybe VM should include one of them in a quick start pack

What ! Spend an extra 50p on every quick start kit.  Next you'll be saying they should include Termination caps .....   😉

Re: Cable but no Connector on wall

Thanks aduxi

Actually located the flaming isolator box which had been removed and stuffed behind the drawer!

It's a 1 in and 2 out splitter.. Although both ends are screw in Co ax cable I thought I saw the red end of isolator cable was a push type... Does that mean I will need an adapter "push on to screw" type set up... What a pain.. Or burst it onto the screw in connection 😉

Re: Cable but no Connector on wall

You can push the connector directly into the screw connector, no adaptor required. Maybe VM cheaped on the connector !
