I am getting Virgin Installed but have had an email to say while our engineers were preparing to install your services, they identified an issue with the cable that leads from our cabinet to your home. To continue with this work, we're in the process of getting approval from your local authority.
Has anyone come across this,as it says when checking if my home can get virgin media and it has said yes.
Yes, you are serviceable as the correct duct is there, hence you are on the database.
There is obviously a problem with the duct & the pre-install team that pulls the drop line from the cabinet could not complete the task.
So Virgin now have to submit a plan to your local authority to dig the pavement & correct the issue. Obtaining LA permits can take up to 8 weeks depending on the way your LA operates. Once the permit is issued & the work is done the pre-install & the house install can go ahead.
