Buffering and losing connection

Hi guys,

I recently made the swtich from Sky to Virgin after being with Sky for almost 10 years! So I signed up to Virgin 350m Fibre as I thought the speed would be good enough for my household.

I've noticed since install on 18th January, devices keep dropping connection, varying speeds and tonight A LOT of buffering whilst streaming.

Anyway, I'll attach the information you need in the comments below as it will not let me add it to the main body of the post due to character count.

Thanks for taking a peek.

Jen

Three of your four upstream channels are out of spec on QAM, which normally indicates a noisy line.

Downstream power a touch high, but in spec (-6 to +10 is in spec, 0dB optimal).

Re: Buffering and losing connection

Could that be down to a join on the line?

My flat previously had Virgin installed at some point (over 6 years ago at least, as I've never been a customer)
I wanted hub placed in hallway so had an engineer perform my install, he cut and joined the ?coaxial line so it would run to where i wanted it, rather than into the livingroom.

Not sure, however VM need to investigate further.

Re: Buffering and losing connection

If you reboot the hub, how long is it stable for before it drops back to 16 QAM ?

Could be interference, noise or faulty hub at this stage.
