Brown box

Hi there

The brown box outside my house is falling apart. I’ve taped it to the wall and noticed that one of the wires is severed.

Thanks for picking up on my post about the damaged brown box.
You’re right in saying that I’ve booked an engineer’s visit for June 4.
However I was surprised to be told that I would be charged £99 for this.
I’ve done a bit of research on the forum and found a post from @Anonymous who had the same problem under the heading ‘Outside box broken’ and received a reply from Katie - Forum Team on 12-08-2020 at 15.33 that stated ‘we do not charge for this service’.
Please confirm that I will not now be charged.

Thanks for getting back to us bigbob1. 

 

We wouldn't usually charge for the covering to be replaced, I'm unsure if the severed cabling has made a difference to how this has been handled. I'd like to take a further look into it and see what we can do to help though, please get back to me via PM (look out for the purple envelope) and we'll take it from there.
