Brodband installation

Hey, my external cabling for broadband has been completed ready for installation on 22 May 2021.

I want the internal installation and router to be in the living room, however, virgin have installed the external broadband box and cable to the kitchen external wall (both rooms front facing with entrance hall between them).

Will the engineer be able to fit the internal box in the living room? (Maybe running a cable from the external box)? Or will virgin need to move the external box?

Cheers 🙂

Re: Brodband installation

The technician can run a wire from the brown box to wherever you want the equipment to sit

Re: Brodband installation

Hi ljvalleys,

Thanks for your post and welcome to the forums. It's really great having you on board with us in the Community.

As mentioned above by jb66, the engineer will run a cable to wherever you want the services to be used. The external box won't need to be moved and it's likely the team have put this where the cable comes up from under the ground.

Rest assured you will be able to talk through things with the engineer before they make a start 🙂

Let us know how the installation goes and if you need any further advice, you know where we are.

Thanks,
