Having the cable over the roof isn't a good thing to do anyway, so VM needs to sort this out. Normally it's possible to route the cable along a wall or fence.

I think the OP needs to give more formal notice to VM than just mention it on a website.

It would be best to write to the company's registered address and specify a reasonable time scale to remove the box and make good any damage to the wall.
