Hi there, I have just has an engineer show up at my door under the pretense of "special request" which I know nothing about, my broadband is fine so nothing has been booked by me. It was definitely a legitimate Virgin Media representative as they knew my name already and had the branded clothing and van. I haven't put in any appointments so was really confused when he showed up. When I logged into my virgin media account after he left, sure enough, there was an appointment for today that I never booked and my partner can't have done so as he has no access to the account. Any idea what this could be for? I have an order number for it and everything! How could this have happened with no input from myself?

When I check my orders now, it's been removed, but I have a screenshot of it. It seems to have been a mistake on Virgin's behalf, but still very strange!

Keep an eye on your next bill to make sure you have not been charged £25 for this 'special request' visit!

Very likely, another customer with a similar name is feeling annoyed because they didn't get the visit they were expecting.

Hi Emmiiiiiiiiiiii,
Thanks for your post, and welcome to our Community Forums.
I'm sorry to hear about the unexpected visit from one of our Technicians. I've had a look on our side and can see that this was due to be a regular Cabinet Audit but the Technician had mistaken this as a standard Home Visit.
Rest assured, this would not have any effect on your service, or have incurred a charge.
Thanks,
