Yes, you can just get broadband, but due to the way the VM pricing works it’s often cheaper to take the phone as well. For the gaming PC and probably Xbox I would suggest Ethernet cables be run back to the location where the VM hub will be located. VM will not do this, but any competent electrician could do it.
