Additional multiroom TiVo box needs activating?

Hi - need some advice please...

Asked Virgin for an additional box, multiroom, engineer came 10 days ago and installed a TiVo Samsung box upstairs, looks like it’s recycled from another customer? No smartcard, does it need one?

Error code 7400 appeared on the TV from the TiVo box. Finally got through to activations from 150 and was asked for serial number of the Samsung TiVo box which I gave. She did something and I was assured it was OK. Restarted everything and seemed OK.

Now my usual V6 box downstairs is giving me an error code, 7400 😂 Has never had a problem before.

Any advice on who I should be calling at Virgin? The wait times are, understandably, very long. Don’t want to waste time on wrong departments

no need for a smart card.

It sounds like the agent has replaced the old box with the new one.

I see! The agent did ask about other boxes and I repeatedly said this is an additional multiroom box and I have a V6 box downstairs... 🤦🏻‍♂️

Looks like another phone call needed unless someone from VM can rectify in the mean time
