Absolutely furious! Unauthorised box installation has ruined 7k worth of new rendering.

Hello Virgin

It is impossible to get through to a human being to discuss my issue hence this post. Over the last couple of weeks Virgin engineers have installed two large and very ugly boxes on the front of our house without once seeking permission or notifying us.

We had virgin media cabling installed approximately 2 years ago, discussed our needs in detail, and arranged a special installation to the rear side of our property to avoid visible boxes. We have since had a very expensive silicon render system applied to the entire ground floor of the property.

Some time in the last month, a big 20x13 cm white cable box has appeared on our front wall. This was never agreed to, and also entirely redundant, as it simply holds the end of a cable...?  That goes nowhere?  And has been installed to the front of our property without our permission and certainly not for our use..!

Today we found an engineer had drilled a separate massive, messy hole through the render at the front side of the property, and smeared a load of clear silicone over the top, leaving the damaged render, base coat and mesh clearly visible over an approx. 4 square cm area.  We were shocked and appalled that they had done this without our permission, and were told by a surly and unapologetic engineer that it was "for the upstairs neighbour" (Tenant of upstairs leaseholder - we are the legal freeholders (not landlords) of the whole building comprising 2 purpose built maisonettes) ... It seems that all they have done to connect up the neighbour is split our pre-existing cable into two and run the split cable into the front for the neighbour...? We agreed that if he could cover it with a small discreet box so that the massive hole couldn't be seen, we'd have to live with it as the damage was done, but that he had drilled through our property and that any alterations needed to be run past us, with no more drilling into the new render.

This evening we found that someone has since been back and installed a massive, ugly, 20x15 cm  brown box (the render is white) to cover the hole, drilling through the render in 4 more spots to do so!  It doesn't even hide the damage as it is open sided and the damage can be clearly seen through the gap.

So now we have a total of 9 holes drilled through pristine silicone render, without our permission, leaving two massive eyesore boxes on the front of our property, one of which appears to be completely redundant. We expect you to rectify any mistake in the new cabling, remove any redundant unasked for cabling and boxing, fit a small unobtrusive white box if to cover the hole for the neighbours cable and pay for expert like new rectification of the remaining render damage by a competent EWI renderer. We will pursue legal avenues if necessary.
