£35 Activation Fee

Signed up to Virgin Media broadband just looked at my first bill to see £35 activation fee at no point when ordering was I ever informed that I would be charged this fee I see that people that choose QuickStart don’t get the fee but I was never given the option as I would have chosen to do QuickStart if given the choice

Hit and miss with virgin I had self install got charged £35 when advertised Free install

phoned customer service won't refund I had £100 bill credit all gone in 1st month how do you work that out?

From time to time VM do have offers of free set up (there's one currently until 27th July)

Do you have screenshots showing a free set up offer for the date you signed up?

The following charges are usually applicable unless in a free set up offer period.

A person living in a property that is currently serviceable (and the property has previously had Virgin Media services) is able to order Quickstart meaning that they don't have to pay the standard technician installation fee of £30.   They are though still required to pay the Virgin Media Set-up Fee (equipment activation fee of £35)

I got the engineer installation free and it said I was supposed to get the set up fee free but this is the list of charges and it shows £35 activation fee.

Hey DynastyHeroes, thank you for reaching and out and I am sorry to hear the set up free hasn't been taken off.

So, this screenshot shows you got a free manned installation whereas normally it should be £30.00 

However you have been charged an activation fee, we normally offer one or other for free in your case its the manned install which was free. 

I understand this is not what you was expecting and I am sorry about any confusion caused here. 

If you do have any other paperwork's which states you was suppose to get them both for free please can you let me know. Thanks
