2.4 / 5 WiFi (Smart plugs!)

Hi there, I have a Hub 3 and am trying to install some 'Teckin' Smart Plugs. They will only work with 2.4 WiFi and I am really not sure how to get them working...

I have read on some of the forums about splitting the broadband (?) and having both 2.4 and 5, but I cannot seem to work out how to do this! I am sorry for not being able to work this out! Hopefully someone can help?!

Re: 2.4 / 5 WiFi (Smart plugs!)

Do you know how to login to the web interface of the hub 3?

That's the first step.

It's typically http://192.168.0.1

and in there you'll see the WiFi configuration and the 2.4G and 5Ghz bands.

If you give them different names (such as appending 2 and 5 to them) then this will split them.

Try it out and let us know if you need more help.
