wired router

Hi,

I want to have my hub3 in modem mode and use a wired router, as virgin doesn't give me the full control of my hub3 to disable the wifi. I don't want any wifi signal (for some personal reasons).

Can you tell me what aspects I should look for in order to buy a wired router or a wireless with a switch to turn off its wifi? I emphasis I don't want wifi.

Would something like this do the job with a good internet speed to connect 3 pcs?

Thanks

Leila

Re: wired router

Why can't you just turn the WiFi off on the hub 3?

Re: wired router

You certainly can turn off the wifi in the hub's settings, there's no need to spend money on a new router.

Re: wired router

In another post I explained that the wifi comes back by itself after a while. You can read it here.

Re: wired router

@leilash2000 I believe that @stabilo00 was referring to the router you mention in the first post when he or she said it would work - which it will!

Re: wired router

@stabilo00 do you mean the router in the link should work? Thanks for that.

Re: wired router

Ubiquiti make some fairly cheap routers that are just routers and do not have any WiFi.
