wifi not being recognised by mobile phone

I have a very odd issue in that my mobile phone will not list my wifi network as an option. The wifi is still there as my laptop recognises it and my wifes phones also recognises it.

I can use other peoples wifi in their houses but not my own in my own house.

I have rebooted the router and reset factory settings on the phone but neither have made a difference.

Has anyone else had this problem and how has it been rectified?

thanks

Re: wifi not being recognised by mobile phone

Try splitting the wifi bands giving 2.4 and 5GHz different SSIDs

you will need to login to the hub and go to the wireless settings to do that

I know a bit about Wi-Fi, Telecoms, and TV as I used to do it for a living but I'm not perfect so don't beat me up... If you make things you make mistakes!

Re: wifi not being recognised by mobile phone

Thanks for this.

However a friend of mine resolved the issue as, following an update, the router wasn't broasdcasting correctly and needed some settings adjusting.

Thanks for your help though.
