could somebody give some idea what is going on with the wi-fi please.
the wi-fi used to be excellent, we have basically unbelievably slow wi-fi now, as in 0.4 - 188 bs.
i have used wi-fi analyzer but it cannot even pick up any signals at all, i have downloaded your virgin media connect and it tells me that the signals are excellent around the house.
i have run the virgin media tests, it tells me that there could be an issue with the wi-fi, then it says there are no issues, i just dont know. i used to use the wi-fi analyzer to pick the best signals for our devices. we have re set the hub 3 several times but no change, this has been like this for several months now and its annoying that it takes an absolute age just to load anything on the phones or even tablet.
Advanced Settings > Wireless > Security > Add 2 to the 2.4GHz Channel name > Add 5 to the 5 GHz Channel name > Click ‘Apply Changes’
You can leave the passwords the same as they are.
Log out of the Hub.
You will need to reconnect all you WiFi devices some will want to connect to 5Ghz and some to 2.4GHz and some will connect to either.
2.4GHz is a stronger signal but slower than 5GHz so if you have problems on 5GHz change to 2.4GHz.
Set up a Broadband Quality Monitor (BQM) at thinkbroadband.com - this will give you an insight into what is happening with the signal at the Hub, it will take a few hours to get any kind of trend showing.
Post a link to your BQM on here.
Type 192.168.0.1 into your browser URL bar and press enter. When the page appears DO NOT LOG IN but click ‘Check Router Status’. Copy and paste the contents of each tab onto here, a Guru will be along soon to decipher the info.
Third Party Router
Many on here, myself included advocate the use of a third party Gigabit capable wifi router.
