slow download speed on 350 speed no higher than 10MBs

hi the internet speed on the 350mbps speed we have only seems to max out at 10MBs it's been like this for last few week's before that it was always around a maximum of 40MBs when downloading games on xbox and the gamepass store on pc. i have also noticed the ping shooting up really high on fortnite then back to normal at around 20ms but since last few weeks since the speed has slowed down it keeps pulling me back when i am walking in game or trying to shoot anyone randomly when the ping is fine at around 20ms I'm not sure what's really wrong and it's really annoying

i set up some monitoring thing after reading some things on here but i don't really understand if it's okay or not but here's the link

BQM not great.. can you do this...

Post up your Hub/network connection details and someone will check to see if there is a problem there.  In your browser’s URL box type in http://192.168.0.1  (or http://192.168.100.1 - if in modem mode) and hit return. On the first page up [there should be no need to login if you have done so before unless you have the New Hub4 when you do] click on the “router status” icon/text at bottom-middle of first page up and then copy/paste as “Formatted Text” (not images) 3 FULL sets of data onto here – 2 pages from the Downstream, 2 from the Upstream, & the Network Logs page. Don't worry too much about the formatting it can be easily read & DON’T include personal data or MAC addresses - blank them out - if you copy/paste the data, the board software will do this for you (you may need to click the "submit" button again.

Re: slow download speed on 350 speed no higher than 10MBs

Looks like a few dropped packets but there was a bad time at 2200 hrs - That seems to have resolved!

Have VM been doing something in the area? It looks like they have from the BQM

i have had a email with this in it do you think the speed problem could be something to do with what ever they have done?

Hi @BubblesLittle,

Thanks for your reply. It does seem likely that this improvement work could have been having the temporary affect on your services.

I do apologise for the disruption this may have caused.

If any issues do continue, please let us know and we'd be happy to assist further.

Kind regards,

Re: slow download speed on 350 speed no higher than 10MBs

still seem to be having problems the speed just doesn't seem to go any higher than 10MBs and when watching videos on bbc website it seems to buffer which seems strange even if i am getting max 100mbps there's something defiantly wrong that wasn't wrong before 😟

Re: slow download speed on 350 speed no higher than 10MBs

Hi BubblesLittle,

Thank you for reaching back out to us, I have had a look our end and cannot see any issue at present, your levels look OK.

As your last BQM was done around the time we were carrying out work in the area please run this again for 72 Hours so we can get a better idea, before you do this can you try a pin reset on the Router just to rule out a software issue, first check all the internal connections are hand tight then push a pin/ paper clip in the back of the Router where it says reset, push in until you feel it press then hold in for a timed 1 Minute, do not reboot during or after and allow 15 Minutes to settle afterwards?

Please let us know how you get on, once we have your BQM we will be able to help further.

Kind regards

Paul.
