Could somebody let me know what the power level maximum / minimum levels should be for upstream and downstream please. I suffer from frequent broadband dropouts - I think because the power levels keep fluctuating, but I want to be able to prove it. I've just had a new hub delivered because the old one kept resetting to factory settings after each drop out, however whilst the new hub retains it settings, it still appears to cut out and reboot several times a day
Actually to be safe, you want the upstream to be stable as a bit less that; that say high 40's dbmV. In hot weather the impedance of the cables will rise and push the power levels up as well. At 51 the cable modem should reboot itself to try and renegotiate a better connection - which might be what you are seeing.
