port forwarding issue

Hi, ive got from yesterday new router (hub 3.0) and im very disappointed (btw this is by far the worst router i have ever seen one... menu is really slow, very few functions...) So, when im trying do port forwarding, everything seems ok, but ports after apply changes are still closed. doesnt matter which port ill try to forward - always is same (nothing) Even ive add my PC to DMZ, and as well nothing changed (the miracle is that assigning the local IP via mac works xD) So guys, do you have any ideas? on my old router (hub) everything was working perfect! really how you (virgin media) can release crap like this one???

Re: port forwarding issue

The approach most of the cognoscenti adopt is to stick the hub in modem mode, and invest in their own router or mesh system.  That way you get exactly what you want, from a manufacturer who understands what they're making and is brave enough to put their own name on it.  As opposed to a pound shop router, running firmware cobbled from an open source base by the cheapest of cheap offshore IT, but branded with "Virgin Media".

Maybe you're now thinking "heck, these are basic requests, I'm paying for a service they should just provide it!".  If that's the case then all I can say is good luck.
