By default it will be operating on both bands with the same name (SSID).  If you want to change that you will need to log on to the Hub on 192.168.0.1 and follow the menus to the WIFI settings.

Still no use.

Think I'll switch back to old hub. This one keeps dropping connections.

You can't as VM will have disabled it when they provisioned the Hub 4.

not 100% true - you can buy=t it might be an uphill struggle - you need to ring and get them to re activate the old hub

why did you change

regarding the smart lights - have you reset them up - they will still be looking for the old hub wifi - you need to press the button on them and start again - if they still will not work split the bands on the hub4

regarding the hub4 dropping connections - splitting the bands should help as will turning off smart wifi

Re: new hub 4 and lost smart light connections

Hi @PJBart,

Welcome to our Community Forum! Thank you so much for your first post 🙂

I'm sorry to hear that you're not happy with your new Hub 4 and that you're experiencing some connection drop outs! Does this happen on all devices, or just on one or two?

Would you be able to set up a BQM link and let it run for over 24 hours, so we can see where the drop outs are?

Please keep us updated so we can look into this issue a little further for you.

Thanks,

Paulina_Z
