iPhone 12 only connecting to 2.5GHZ

My wifi on my phone used to be amazing, never any problems, but just since this year it has been dropping my wifi, multiple times a day to the point i give up and just have to use my data, when i looked at my connected devices it has the least amount of signal and seems to be only connecting to 2.5ghz rather than the 5ghz.

Any recommendations, i have been on the phone a couple times to apple thinking it was my phone but now thinking its something in the setting, but unsure how it has just changed all of a sudden.

Re: iPhone 12 only connecting to 2.5GHZ

Split the 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz bands by renaming them to something unique and then connect compatible devices to the 5Ghz SSID.

Connect everything else to the 2.4Ghz band that can’t/won’t connect to the 5Ghz band.
