We have been with VM since 2017, we don't use the VM Carp app !

Do you have a VM Hub 4 ?
If Yes, the menu has failed & this is the 3rd customer today with the same issue.
Expect the VM Connect app to not connect or to get stuck in an Optimize Wi-Fi loop.
The only option is to press the RESET button for 60 seconds and leave the Hub 4 powered on to revert to the shipping condition. If after proceeding as mentioned above, the Hub 4 menu still does not work (or soon fails again) it is time to request a replacement Hub.
