get set for WiFi hotspots

Pressed it, it thinks about it, then said something went wrong.

Happens if I'm at home on the WiFi, at work on the WiFi, or using mobile data.

Re: get set for WiFi hotspots

That'll explain it. The Connect app can't currently configure an Android 11 device for the hotspots.

If you have a Virgin Mobile SIM you can use the instructions here to configure access to the 'Virgin Media' hotspots in the UK

Re: get set for WiFi hotspots

Any update for Android 11 users? It's nearly four months since it's release...

Re: get set for WiFi hotspots

Thanks for the post Pabx.

We're not aware of a known issue regarding this at the moment.

What shows for you when you attempt to join a hotspot?

Thanks, Emily.

Re: get set for WiFi hotspots

Thanks for following up Emily

I try connecting to "Virgin Media" instead of the router.   It says "Couldn't authenticate connection".  - I tried the AKA workaround.

When out of the house I don't pick up any wifi except through mobile data, and that is patchy here - the 4G reception is not great and no 5G where I live

This is a Samsung Note 20 Ultra 5G.  Everything worked fine on my Note 9.

Other parts of the Virgin connect app seem ok
