constant dropped signal every half hour, latency and packet data loss
Hey, i have a long running complaint with VM since before christmas, its now mid april. My connection drops out every half hour for between 30 secs to 3-4 mins, all day and all of the night. It is not time specific, its constant. VM have sent out x6 or more engineers and they all do a tweak here or there but nothing works. Attenuators on, attenuators off etc, nothing. Replaced router, no improvement. I even got them to do a re-pull of my line to cabinet from house, no better result. Current thinking is a line rebuild to solve it?? Will this work? Based on the work till now, i have slim hopes. I dont really have anymore options left to fix this issue so i thought i'd post it here as you seem plenty knowledgable on these issues. Do a over night test with a PC connected to the allow ICMP inbound from 184.108.40.206 and make a new BQM when you put the hub in modem mode. if you still get drops and spikes problem is with your line.
