well tried that with no success.
connection to extender was ok but no connection to virgin hub v3
dontknow where to go next as other devices connect to the hub ok
my laptop , desktop, all phones.
the reason im doing this is because daughters pc looses connection when working upstairs. works ok downstairs. So automatically thought an extender would cure the issue.
you may get more luck if you split the wifi networks on the hub - by default, it will broadcast the 2.4ghz and 5ghz networks with the same name.. some devices struggle to connect when it's configured like this..
Log into the hub at http://192.168.0.1 and browse to advanced -> wireless -> smart wifi - check the box to disable channel optimisation. save the settings
then browse to advanced -> wireless and rename the 2.4 and 5ghz networks there so that they have different names (e.g. you could append a _2 and _5 to each respectively).. apply the settings and restart the hub.. then try setting the TP link up again - it will want to connect to teh hubs 2.4 ghz network..
