Zoom - Your Internet Connection Is Unstable (again, sorry)

drm01
Tuning in

Mac M1 mini, MacoS 11.6, 16GB, Zoom Pro 5.8.4 (2421), wired ethernet to Asus AC-68 (latest firmware) into SH4 in modem mode

300mbps service, generally ok

I have regular zoom client calls to the US and recently they have become unusable do to drop outs and freezes. The 'unstable connection' message is a regular feature. This is having a big negative impact on my business and would like to understand what's happening and resolve it.

BQM from yesterday below.

Do I need to ditch Zoom? Get in a dedicated copper line from BT? Any help gratefully received.

Connect by wire to the hub and in modem mode to see if your zoom is better.

BQM doesnt look too bad... no evidence of any obvious disconnects there. Have you tried putting the Hub back into normal router mode and connecting the mini durectly into the Hub and see whether the issues remain? Just to rule out whether the issue is with the Asus connection?

Also are you using a VPN?

Hi John

Thank you for the reply. I’ll try reverting to SH4 router mode. No VPN in use.

Slightly “busy” BQM at peak evening hours. Post your power levels and network log please.

I haven't done this before so I hope I'm providing the correct information. Thank you very much Adduxi for offering to look at the data - I appreciate the time it will take you to review it.

As per John's suggestion I have reset the superhub to a router from modem and disabled the wireless. All devices are connected via ethernet or Ubiquiti access points. I spent a long time trying to get to 192.168.0.1 after the reset via my Mac, but in the end needed to connect a windows machine to access the device.Screenshot 2021-12-17 at 10.19.34.jpgHub 4.jpg

Difficult to see/read screen shots - can you do it again this way...

Just copy/paste as the normal “Formatted Text” (not images) 3 FULL sets of data onto here – 2 pages from the Downstream, 2 from the Upstream, & the Network Logs page. Don't worry too much about the formatting it can be easily read & DON’T include personal data or MAC addresses - blank them out - if you copy/paste the data, the board software will do this for you (you may need to click the "submit" button again. If character limits are “exceeded” - or just do two posts
