My Work VPN has worked fine on Virgin for over 3 years. (Please do not tell me VPN's are not supported)
Last week something changed. The VPN still connects fine, but when accessing internal work websites. they are blocked. I get an ERR_Connection_Closed or redirected to http://advancedsearch2.virginmedia.com.
This is a Virgin media change, as if I tether to my work phone, on a different service provider everything works, confirming there is no issue with the VPN itself (please do not suggest this as a solution)
Please assist me to help get things back to how they were.

if those fix the problem you should tell your IT dept so that they are aware and can advise any future employees with the same issue. i would have expected them to hepl you with basic troubleshooting though, that's what we do, and they seem to have washed their hands of the issue which doesn't make them look good. they should be doing what they can to support you.
so is websafe turned on or off? regardless of what the video shows. you said in your opening post that you get redirected to "http://advancedsearch2.virginmedia.com/main?" that suggests that ANES is indeed turned on.
how are you accessing the internal websites? via the full URL or an IP adresss/intranet address?
